Team Citius is Pittsburgh's premier junior development cycling program. Our members are located through out the greater Pittsburgh region and reach as far as Martins Ferry, Ohio. We provide an avenue for young cyclists to safely learn to ride their bicycles in either an enthusiastic or competitive environment through group rides and race events. Participation and enjoyment are important components of Team Citius as the juniors learn cycling skills and experience an activity that can last a lifetime. Introduction to group rides usually begins at Pittsburgh's North Park where various routes are available for the different levels of beginner cyclists. More experienced riders participate in group rides that also begin at North Park and venture out into Butler, Sewickley, and other surrounding areas. The local road racing scene for new cyclists begins at the Bud Harris Track on Washington Blvd. in the Allegheny Cycling Association's Tuesday night Junior & Women criteriums. Team Citius members have won Pennsylvania State road racing championships and triathlon events.
